Mark Holman - Junior Lead Coach
My background in exercise has always been bias towards running. Over the past 15 years I have competed in countless running races, covering distances from 10k to Full Marathon but I have enjoyed and been most successful over the ½ marathon distance.
In early 2013 I decided to make the move across to the sport of Triathlon and have been obsessed with the sport ever since. Since I started triathlon I have competed in numerous races and managed to place 22nd in the 2015 City of Birmingham Open Water Triathlon.
Tri3 Sleaford Triathlon Club Juniors
Since starting to work with the Tri3 Junior’s in 2015 I have seen the Junior side of the club grow and grow. Along with the number of junior’s growing so has the morale and team spirit that surrounds the squad.
Now that our juniors have developed and been training for a good period of time we are starting to see some excellent results in all three disciplines. So far in 2016 we have had athletes selected for sponsorship and given support and training by one of the largest commercial names to be involved in the world of triathlon. Not only this but we regularly have junior athletes doing themselves and the club proud by pushing themselves in events and raising money for charity.
As a club our number one aim is to ensure that all of our junior athletes are safe and enjoy every session they attend and get the most out of all the races they enter and take part in. We are a family orientated club and work tirelessly to ensure the juniors are ready and well prepared for each race season. Everyone involved with the club juniors agrees that it is more important that they complete each race with a smile on their face having enjoyed the experience!
